About Sunny Words Writing Services

Hi! I'm AnnaLisa Michalski, owner/operator of Sunny Words Writing Services.

For as long as I can remember, I've loved words: reading them, experimenting with them, analyzing how they work together, finding out where they come from, shaping and improving their combinations. So after obtaining my B.A. in English from Virginia Wesleyan College, I spent nearly a decade working in the local public schools, most of that time as a high school English teacher. Oddly, the job didn't satisfy my thirst for WORDS.

I left the classroom to work in a marketing/advertising agency, my first job in which proofreading and editing were among my primary duties. I'd found my calling as an editor! Agency work also gave me an opportunity to witness small business operation up close. This business exposure proved useful following the birth of my first child, when I left the agency to freelance from home under my first business, Admin Maven.

Though Admin Maven offered administrative assistance as well as proofing, I quickly discovered that what my clients really needed was the deeper skill an editor and wordsmith offers. So in 2010, I re-branded to better reflect my writing/editing expertise. Sunny Words Writing Services is the happy result.

Sunny Words is the ideal business for me. My work lets me indulge my English language interests; I collaborate with clients on projects I enjoy; and best of all, I have "freelancer freedom" to do it all during the hours that are most convenient for my family. With this flexibility, neither my family nor work lacks the attention it deserves.
